AcustiCidade
AcustiCidade is a sound project that seeks to recognise and reimagine the history of different areas of Braga based on their acoustic landscape and the memories of those who live or have lived there. After four editions dedicated to collecting and artistically interpreting testimonies, the project is entering a new phase, which is intended to be more collective and participatory.
In 2026, AcustiCidade will offer writing workshops, sound collection sessions, and moments of community sharing. The goal is to build a sensitive cartography—made up of sounds, voices, and narratives—that reflects the diversity, intimacy, and vitality of the city.
This new edition will be guided by the perspectives, words and sounds of Manoel Candeias and Rui Dias, who will accompany the creative process, facilitating the collective construction of a new sound memory of Braga.
