Here and There, Movement
Between Reality and Animation
Inspired by the world of the Anima VAM initiative, this filmmaking workshop challenges participants to reflect on their local area: what they see, what they feel, and what is rarely shown. Using maps, photographs, objects, and memories, participants experiment with hybrid animation techniques to bring movement to atmospheres, gestures, and fragments of everyday life. At the end of the two-day workshop, the films created are presented to the participants’ families at a special screening in the Anima VAM van.

Target audience Youth ages 12 and up
Anima VAM, developed by Amarela Mecânica, transforms public spaces into creative laboratories, questioning and deconstructing the various ways of making and viewing animated films. Its chameleon-like van allows this project to remain constantly on the move, reinventing the territory as a place for gathering, critical awareness, and civic participation.
