BMA lab: Ableton Live

com Nuno Loureiro 

In this BMA lab, Nuno Loureiro will focus on exploring processes of expansion and compression of musical material, where MIDI generation shapes notes and sound transformations in real time, creating dynamic variations and transformations. Throughout the workshop, participants will build a music generation system adapted to their artistic practice.

Note Participants should bring their own computer with Ableton Live installed, headphones, and a MIDI controller (optional). Basic knowledge of Ableton Live is recommended but not required.

Duration 12 hours (spread over four sessions)

Nuno Loureiro is a musician and producer. As a solo artist, he has released music under his own name and under the alter egos Mada Treku and Lorr No on the Superpang and Favela Discos labels. In addition to his solo work, he is a member of the bands Fugly, Milteto, and Solar Corona/SCEM and has worked on the production, recording, and mixing of albums by Richie Culver and on exhibitions by Pedro Huet.
