Auto-Tune Choir Group
In this Experimental Station, Auto-Tune ceases to be merely a vocal correction tool and becomes a collective medium, a performative gesture, and a space for listening. Drawing on the practice of the Auto-Tune Choir, and with no prior experience required, the audience is invited to approach a Digital Audio Workstation for free experimentation, discovery, and vocal improvisation. This activity serves as a space for gathering and shared listening, where preconceptions surrounding the processed voice are dismantled and different forms of collective presence are explored through technology.

The Auto-tune Choir explores the possibilities of music software through collective improvisation and the deconstruction of pop songs, creating ever-changing performances that challenge notions of authenticity, technique, and elitism in contemporary music.
